The idea was to place the acrylic kabinet inside the cube, with all hardware installed.
So it is time for some measuring, cutting and drilling.
As seen on the pictures its hard to make it perfect.
But I’m pretty pleased with the result, and it won’t be visual once it’s installed
Some of the parts were given from the set, as well as templates for the holes in the back plate
The tricky part was to make a DVD drive, I decided to go for a slot in drive for a notebook.
First I made a slot hole in the bezel, and gave it a paint job – not the perfect NEXT color a bit to glossy – but it looks ok
I even mounted some fabrics on the inside to prevent the DVD´s from getting scratches
Custom made acrylic for placing the slot in drive exactly in front of the bezel hole
Made it so that adjustment is possible – up, down and angel vise
